1st Cougar Victory!

LaVell Edwards Stadium...that time of year again!

Bronco had his head in the game (and in my picture)!

I was asked to leave by 7 different "security" people at the game for taking pictures like these!

Can we go now?

Sam's Gone Now

The recruiter came and picked up my littlest brother today from my parents' house and took him away. He will spend 1 night at a base in Michigan and then will be heading on tomorrow morning for Fort Leonard Wood Missouri. There he will go through a boot camp for a few weeks. Then, hopefully, he will be out to visit with us in November for Thanksgiving! After that... The Sand Box as the guys so lovingly refer to it- Iraq.

Yesterday, I said a prayer at church and included for Heavenly Father, "to be with the service men and women to help them return in safety." I choked on my words and near couldn't speak. Never before has those few words meant so much to me.

My prayers are always with him and I do hope that each of you remember our service men and women from time to time regardless of your political views. My little brother is out there with them!

The Dark Knight in IMAX

Today Mike and I went to go see The Dark Knight in IMAX! It was really amazing! There were a number of different scenes that were shot with the IMAX camera so they looked not only really freakin' big, but almost 3 D! My favorite was when Batman is swooping down in Hong Kong and the building look like they are going to hit you as he goes past them!

If you haven't seen this movie yet... SHAME ON YOU! If you have and you haven't seen it on the IMAX you are still missing how great this movie was truly meant to be! Hands down my favorite of the year. (Followed closely by Ironman and then Kung Fu Panda.)

Oh Hummm

Eryn is getting so big and her hair is getting so curly! Eryn and I are just bored today and I started taking some pictures. She didn't want to cooperate though, so it didn't last long. Maybe we'll go for a walk later on after lunch.

Sheffield Mini Reunion

I'm not officially a Sheffield, but I have considered myself an additional member of their family since their Dad started telling me to go to Seminary and strongly encouraging me to move to Utah. He was right (and I wish that I had gone to more seminary).

They had a birthday party for the 3 little girls who just turned 1! It was good to see everyone again, even if just for a short time.

The Rest of Vacation

Day 8
Mike got a little hungry going through Donner Pass!

Eryn almost didn't make it through with arms and legs!

Since Mike spared Eryn's life... We went to In-N-Out Burger!

Day 7

Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield, CA

Wouldn't you cry too is you couldn't get out and eat all of the jelly beans?

Much happier eating!

Day 6

Aunt Tammy took Eryn to the Ocean

She tried so hard to figure out what sand was! (Even tasted it... more than once!)

After awhile we could hardly keep her out of the water!

Day 5

Us at the Golden Gate Bridge

Eryn begging to get out!

Chocolate from Ghiaradelli Square

Day 4

The Oakland Temple
Oakland and San Francisco in the background!

Mike was more excited to go than he looks!

Braves WIN!

Day 3

It's nice having someone else take your picture!

Day 2!

We went to church and to see the Sacramento Temple.  Eryn had fun trying to jump into the water fountain!  Jeremy had flash backs of engagement picture taking, but I was able to get a picture or two out of him without weird faces!
