They're HERE!

Grandpa holding his new granddaughter for the first time!

Christmas came a little early this year!

Eryn was TOTALLY fine with that!

Grandma and baby Brooke together at last!

Our busy time is just getting started with Grandma and Grandpa. We've got plans to spend lots of time together and they have plans to spoil my little girls with love and hugs! Mike is even going to be able to take a day off and enjoy some time with the family too.

They're Coming...

My parents with Eryn from when we went to Michigan in March.

It's true! Grandma and Grandpa Crawford are coming to Utah to visit us! Eryn's been so excited to see them. We're getting ready for lots of hanging out and fun with my parents. We did go to see them in March, but Brooke was still in the womb! This will be their first visit with their 2nd granddaughter in person! She's all smiles when I tell her that they are coming for a visit.

Big Heartbreak

If you're a BYU fan you all ready know what I'm talking about without reading the post. The dreaded Florida State game from Saturday. Mike went to the game with his Dad and 2 of his brothers. (We basically sold MY season ticket to his brother Sam this year, because I wasn't taking a 3 month old and a 2 1/2 year old to all of the football games!) Mike did take some pictures at the game, but I'll leave it to him to post them later or to let me do it for him.

Before the game we went to the BYU Bookstore on campus and bought some new shirts and had lunch. We did manage to see a bunch of people that we knew there getting ready for the game too! Mike's best friend from Idaho, Matt, was even in town for the game.

Brooke was cheering!

Mike found some BYU face stickers at the bookstore and just had to get them for Eryn!
We watched the game at our house with Uncle Tim, Uncle D, Chelsie, Allie, Shaylie, and Sarah & Chance. Chance couldn't take the torture, so they left a little early. The rest of us stuck it out through the pain to the end. Eryn and Allie were clueless running around screaming and rolling around on the floor laughing. At least they had a good time. The rest of us are in mourning for awhile...

Adventures with Uncle Tim

While Uncle Tim (Mike's Uncle) was out from his home in the far east (he he... NJ) we went on some adventures.

We went up to Park City through American Fork Canyon. It was beautiful up there! I, of all people, forgot my camera! I'm still kicking myself for it too! The weather was perfect, the colors vibrant, and the light was just right about everywhere. Uncle Tim had his camera, so there are pictures to be posted at some point in the future.

Park City was great. Eryn was able to ring the bell on the trolley, have a few tantrums, attempt to run into traffic a few times, and then had ice cream. She had a great time! Shopping was good. I even ventured out and got a couple of shirts for myself.

Uncle Tim and Uncle Dennis were great babysitters. They were really good sports hanging out with me and the girls. It was nice to get out of the house and go somewhere different. It's just funny that Uncle Tim came about 2,000 miles to run a daycare for me!

Pizza Night

We made homemade pizza the other night for dinner. I decided to let Eryn help, since she's been such a big girl lately with potty training and all... I figured that she'd like to do something new as a reward! She had a lot of fun playing with the dough and was excited to wear her little apron from Grandma Crawford while cooking like Mommy.

The cheesy smile for getting to help!

I gave her a little cake pan to make her own pizza in.

She could barely wait for it to be done cooking!

Yummmmmmy!

She ate almost the entire thing and LOVED it!

Rainy Day Pretending

Eryn's favorite show is "My Friends Tigger and Pooh" on the Disney Channel and she was pretending to be them! BIG accomplishment for her. She hasn't pretended yet, so I was pretty excited. Dressed up yes, but taken on a character, not until now!

When the toilet paper ran out I dropped the roll while changing it and she picked it up to figure out what it was. I showed her how you can see threw it and she figured out the rest on her own! Tigger uses a telescope to see the "finder flag" to show them where to go to solve their mysteries. She was busy trying to solve cases for about an hour!

I see Mommy (and the stinkin' camera again)!

The neighbor's puppies...

A van across the street...

BABY SISTER!

Dang it! I was caught in my plotting to escape!

Rolling, Laughing, and Tantrums!

Brooke rolled over! On Friday she managed to make it all the way over. She's been rocking back and forth for awhile now, but made it all of the way over a few times now.

Mike was playing with her and she started laughing yesterday! He was bouncing her up and down on his knees and holding her arms and she started giggling! It was so tender that it made Mommy cry. : ) Then, today she was playing on the floor scooting around and was laughing at me and being really adorable!

Eryn on the other hand... Well, all I will say is that she's 2 and will hopefully grow out of this rebellious tantrum at everything phase. She has been making a lot more progress in the potty training department. That progress seems to be overshadowed by the blood curdling screams and the 20 minutes tantrums in time out.

Our air conditioning managed to stop working on Friday night. I am glad that it should be cooler this week while we are waiting to have it checked out. With the windows opened it seems to stay cool enough in the house. The problem is that everyone in the neighborhood can hear Eryn's nasty tantrums.

Labor Day Events

We tried to hike the Y, but didn't get very far. Eryn calls it "the BYU Mountain." She was really excited to go and see the views, but not as dedicated of a hiker as she was on the arch trail. This hike is a lot more steep and pretty difficult. Brooke and I didn't get past the first few hundred feet before turning around. Too steep for me and Brooke smelled bad almost immediately. Not hiking with a smelly cranky baby sounded like a good enough excuse for me.

We went to my Brother-In-Law Ryan's apartment to go swimming. That was pretty fun. Brooke hung out in her car seat in the shade and slept most of the time. Uncle Josh kept an eye on her from the hot tub. I'm not much of a pool person, but I did venture into the water for a short time. Eryn really wanted to go hang out in the hot tub because with the jets on it looked like a bubble bath. But when I tried to get her to just stick her feet in she freaked out screaming about it being too hot! When it was time to leave she really struggled. She just wanted to keep playing.

After that, it was off to Grandma's to have a BBQ with more of the family. Grandpa had recorded the BYU game from Saturday, so the guys watched the end of the game again and all celebrated the victory together like it just happened!

It was definitely a busy day with lots of things going on. The sad part was that our friend Andrew Depew had to go back to Idaho to start another semester at BYU Idaho. : ( Eryn was sad to see him leave. She's starting to ask if she can go to college now. I told her she has to go potty every time in the potty before she can go to college.

That might be her motivation! Yesterday she went to the potty 6 times and only had 2 accidents! Man, I'm going to be in trouble when she's potty trained and is confused why she can't go to college yet.

Black and Whites

Is there really anything that I need to say about this post?
